Today seems like it has been quite a good day so far, but i am only half way through it! This morning while i was reading my news feeds with my coffee just after i got up i came across a few interesting articles which caught my eye. Because i am a total football nut i always read the ‘’sports pages” first, and according to theworldgame.com.au and to my intense interest it seems that a few candidates for the head coaching position of Australia are beginning to shape up, which i am extremely excited about. Troussier or Verbeek…an interesting choice, but at this point i would be happy with either, as both have Asian experience and are within our budget. Both are extremely talented, although i have been campaigning for the Verbeek camp ever since that scumbag bailed on us. So i guess i would prefer Verbeek, but i am equally impressed with Troussier’s resume…I’m just glad the FFA are finally getting off the arse and doing something!

Also this morning while reading my news feeds, i came across this. An extremely interesting read on climate change albeit extremely depressing. Am i the only one that is starting to feel that were fucked no matter what?? It’s just so depressing!

Recently i have been doing lots of gardening and garden related duties around the house, specifically helping to ‘renovate’ our front garden, as it was in dire shape, and as is expected when i first began i found it mind numbingly boring and ridiculous….but more recently as the garden has been slowly developing from a dry dirt pit into something which could actually pass as i garden i have started to become somewhat attached to it, and i have started to really enjoy the sunny afternoons spent rolling around in the dirt……perhaps i should quit smoking so much marijuana or perhaps gardening is actually enjoyable! Who would have thought…

As much as I enjoy Soccer im afraid im a little under qualified to comment on the coach issue. Im more a fan of the game rather than the people or players behind it. =)

And yes your not the only one to come to the conclusion that we are fucked no matter what when it comes to climate change. All though i am commonly refered to as a pessimist about theses things. One only needs to look at election time lines and countries motivations to see why.

The US economy is dieing and its political system runs on money anything that requires any amount of change to its corperations and businesses is going to be fiercy defended by lobists and the infotainment industry. as well as the fact these changes if made wont see results for a good 10 – 15 years with thier election cycle being 4 – 8 years (correct me if im wrong in any of this. Im working from the top of my head and cbf tracking down references and sources) the lobbists always win.

The EU is in the possition its in not because it doesn’t like the idea of getting into bed with big business like the US and such but because its allready had its environment scares from acid rain years ago. its really the only participant that has any experiance with the cause and effect of enviromental change.

and CHina who nearly has the ability on its own to solve the problem with the amount of debt the US is with it arn’t that interested and probably wont ever be interested either. Rapid economic growth from this debt is raising the stardard of living for more than a few there and considering the amount of coruption allready present, and the lack of human rights, its not going to happen. ( No source again but I think I heard on 4 corners that they are building a coal powerplant every 20 minutes over there )

Besides being a mediator is negotations and managing our reasource export policy. Australia itself has little or no bearing in this besides setting an example. No source again of hand so correct me if im wrong but my understanding is that any of the targets set for us in these agreements are negated by 1-2 months of industry development in china anyway.

Edit: and I completely forgot to mention that all Human societies development of anything to do with safty or prevention of ANYTHING is tombstone engineering. People are going to need to die before anything happens and even with a small understanding of how temperature dictates current and climate cycles you can see its pretty much over for the planet.
